Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio is rumoured to be the next big name actor to take on the famous role of Batman's biggest nemesis, The Joker.
Warner Brothers have announced plans to create a standalone Joker origins film, however Jared Leto, who last played the famous villain in Suicide Squad, won't be reprising the role.
Leto's turn as the Joker received mixed reviews, and although he is set to reprise the role in a Joker and Harley Quinn spinoff with Margot Robbie, Warner Brothers have reportedly chosen to target DiCaprio for the role made famous by Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger - and they may have an ace up their sleeve.
DiCaprio's friend and famed director Martin Scorsese will be co-producing the film, in what is described as a film borrowing from his gritty work in the 1980's with films Taxi Driver and Raging Bull.
Leto is reported to be fairly pissed off at being looked over for the role, but you can't blame Warner Brothers for chasing DiCaprio; he would be unreal as The Joker.
The Hangover's Todd Phillips is set to be handed the directing reins.
