Rush Hour 4 is officially happening, according to co-star Chris Tucker.

It's been over 10 years since the last instalment in Tucker and Jackie Chan's hit movie series, Rush Hour 3, hit the screens.

Plans for another sequel have been in limbo, with director Brett Ratner saying way back in 2011 that the costs would likely be too high for a fourth movie.

But fear no longer - Tucker has confirmed Rush Hour 4 is "happening", and both he and Chan are on board.

“It’s happening,” Tucker said on ESPN's podcast The Plug.

“This is gonna be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people don’t ever forget it.”

Chan had previously expressed his desire to do another movie in the series.

“Before we get old, I tell Chris Tucker, before we get old, please do the Rush Hour 4," he said last year.

There's no word on a release date or anything, but get excited.
