Sacha Baron Cohen is kind of like having a kid; when he's been quiet for a while, you know he's up to something - and it's probably because he's been making a mess.

The Borat actor just dropped a teaser for his new TV show on a brand spanking new Twitter account that was only set up late last week.

Starting: "Imagine if Sacha Baron Cohen had been undercover secretly filming a new show for a year..." the trailer then flashes through what looks like a makeover montage.

Then Baron Cohen's voice makes its first appearance, asking former Vice President of the United States Dick Cheney, who seems quite unaware that he's being utterly stitched up, to sign a waterboard kit.

Cheney was vocal in his support of torture techniques carried out by US Forces during the country's War on Terrorism after September 11.

The clip follows reports that Showtime is in talks with Baron Cohen to pick up the series, which is titled Who Is America and has been described as "perhaps the most dangerous show in the history of television".

While there are no clear shots of what Baron Cohen's new character actually looks like, Showtime reckons he's "shameless", "unhinged" and "cold-blooded", which sounds promising.

Again, there are no confirmed premiere dates just yet but reports have it airing in the US later this month so we can't imagine it'll be too long before we have it here, too.
