The creators of thee hugely popular Saw and Insidious franchises have put their suspense/horror films to the side for now, and produced action/sci-fi blockbuster 'Upgrade'.
Australian screenwriter, producer and director Leigh Wahnell (Saw, Dead Silence, Insidious) is the writer and director behind this action packed film that sees paraplegic Grey Trace (Logan Marshall-Green) seek revenge for his wife's murder.
Trace has an experimental computer chip, named Stem, inserted into his spine that gives him the ability to walk again, while also issuing him superhuman strength and movement, and a computer sidekick within his brain.
'Upgrade' is produced by Blumhouse Productions, the production company behind Get Out, Paranormal Activity and The Purge, so you know it's going to good (and gory).
Upgrade is due for cinematic release on June 1.
