We're still over a year away from the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones being released, but filming for the massive HBO series is just about to begin.
Season seven of GoT was marred by leaks and spoilers from HBO from a variety of hacker groups, something which the network is eager to eliminate for the last season of the show.
Everyone is desperate to find out how the series ends, including the actors themselves, and to make sure absolutely everyone involved in the show is surprised by the ending, except for the directors and producers, HBO will be filming separate endings.
“I know in ‘Game of Thrones’, the ending, they're going to shoot multiple versions so that nobody really knows what happens,” HBO’s President Casey Bloys told The Morning Call.
“You have to do that on a long show. Because when you’re shooting something, people know. So they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that there’s no real definitive answer until the end.”
This of course paves the way for various fan theories to eventuate.
Will the White Walkers rule over Westeros? Will Jon and Daenerys rule together? Will Cersei rule supreme? Or will another character like Hot Pie rise to be king of the Kingdom?
