FYI: There are tiny, tiny spoilers in this article (nothing that will ruin the movie for you though)

Iconic Aussie move The Castle received a very subtle nod in the middle of Marvel blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok.

If you missed the reference, it happens after Thor (Chris Hemsworth) crash lands on Sakaar and is captured by Scrapper 142.

When she brings Thor to the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum), she asks for a reward of “ten million”, to which The Grandmaster’s bodyguard Topaz responds with: “Tell her she’s dreaming.”

The line isn't incidental, as New Zealand director Taika Waititi has said many times that The Castle is one of his favourite movies.

And in the lead up to the film’s release there was rumoured to be a reference to The Castle somewhere in Thor. At the time no one would confirm what it was, and we where hoping it would be Denis Denuto smashing up his photocopier, but this reference is just as good.

If you haven't caught Thor: Ragnarok yet, you can read our review here.

It's well worth the bucks to see it at the cinema.
