British Pensioner Denied Entry Into The US After Accidentally Ticking ‘Terrorist’ On Form

Why is that a question?

A taxi driving British pensioner has been denied entry into the United States because he accidentally said that he was a terrorist on an immigration form.

John Stevenson, 70, and his wife Marion had their dreams of a grand holiday in New York slashed when John was denied a holiday visa because when filling out their 'Esta' form, he accidentally ticked 'yes' under the question 'are you a terrorist'?

Firstly, why is that even a question on an immigration form? Even if you did have ambitions of being a terrorist, you're not going to tick 'yes' on a form asking if you are one.

Anyway... old mate John and his wife Marion had already booked $5,000 worth of accomodation and flights when they realised John might have a problem getting into the country.

John said he then rang US border control: "I gave them my passport details - they looked up my Esta number and said 'you're a terrorist'."

Unfortunately it's not looking good for John, with US immigration continuing to refuse him entry for this trip, and any future trips planned.

"We can't even reschedule because I don't know if I'll ever get back into America," John said.

Looks like he might have to find somewhere else to holiday.
