Parliament House is reportedly under siege by a couple of magpies.
Apparently the magpies have been mercilessly swooping politicians and staff as they walk around the lawns and gardens of Parliament House.
The swooping has become such an issue that The Age reported that senators had raised the issue with the Department of Parliamentary Services on Monday.
“There's been a number of attacks on people by magpies here while people have been eating their lunches,” one of the department's executives said.
"It's not just the magpies,” she said, “it's also the ducks, the pigeons—they’re a nuisance."
It's not understood if the magpies are preparing for a leadership spill.
