Ballsy Roo Squares Up To Tradie In Backyard Brawl

A video of a ballsy young kangaroo taking on a tradie in an Australian backyard has divided opinion online.

The clip was uploaded to Facebook earlier in the month and shows what appears to be a pet roo play fighting with a builder on a smoke break.

Whoever filmed the three-minute video can be heard laughing as the bloke leans in and scuffles his feet to rile the animal up while it bounds around him.

And he gives it a red-hot go, too; despite being scared off after a couple of minutes, the roo comes back, eventually landing a kick on the tradie's bum.

The man's comfort around the animal has given viewers the impression that he's either the owner or knows it well, leading many to praise him for playing with his pet.

"Love to see people playing with [their] pets," one wrote. "The roo loves it too. All animals love human contact when [they're] used to it."

But while just as many commenters called out the unknown man for animal cruelty, anyone actually familiar with what an adult kangaroo can do had some sage words of warning.

"He's just a tiddler," one pointed out. "Try that with a fully grown male Eastern Grey and it'd be the last thing you did!"
