A bloke travelling from Iceland to England has been arrested and kept from boarding two separate flights after wearing all his clothes to avoid excess baggage.

Ryan Carney Williams, who goes by the name Ryan Hawaii, was caught in a sticky situation, carrying too much luggage for his flight and not having enough money to up the amount of luggage he was allowed.

So he got creative, rocking up to the airport wearing eight pairs of pants and 10 different shirts to keep his bag under the weight limit.

It didn't work out, with the man turned away from his first flight at Iceland's Keflavik Airport.

Hawaii claimed on Twitter that he was "arrested and maced" by authorities following the incident.

The Iceland Monitor reported Hawaii was turned away after being disruptive, with a video he posted on Twitter showing airport security approaching him and telling him not to film them.

They also asked if they needed to call the police, to which Hawaii said yes.

After being taken to the police station, he then returned to the airport to catch a second flight, but was again turned away after the previous incident.

Post

Hawaii eventually made it back to London, with reports both missed flights were refunded.

A British Airways spokesperson told the Telegraph the decision to keep him from the flight had nothing to do with race, as Hawaii suggested.
