British bloke Shed Simove has created an app to find himself a date - and now he's being sued because of it.

Simoved created Shinder - remarkably similar to juggernaut Tinder - where he is the only man available to select.

However, once attempting to trademark the idea, a Notice of Threatened Opposition was filed to the Intellectual Property Office by the dating giant.

Simove reckons everyone just needs to calm down a little.

"I think it's a case of a big corporate giant looking at an entrepreneur who sees the world differently and being punitive," he said.

"It's unlikely that the female population will stop using Tinder and start using Shinder."

Simove has had 150 matches and been on 3 dates since creating the app.
