When it comes to putting your property on the market, there are entire books dedicated to teaching you all the insider tips and tricks for getting the most money from the sale.

Do: Bake bread right before an open house so that people walking through feel immediately at home.

Don't: Keep all your knick knacks on display. It's time to declutter.

Do: Give the house a fresh lick of paint.

Don't: Be afraid to hire a professional to make it all look a little... slicker.

Funnily enough, though, there's no advice for whether or not to tell potential buyers that your neighbour is an asshole - like this guy has.

Kane Blake, who lives in British Columbia, reckons his neighbour's behaviour over the last five years has pushed him and his family to the brink and that they have no choice but to move.

But it seems that he couldn't, in good conscience, let someone buy the house without first warning them of what they may be taking on.

According to Blake, the neighbour in question harasses most of the neighbourhood and, as a result, the fed-up bloke constantly has bylaw and the local cops at his house.

"My kids won't even walk to school, they're terrified," he said. "I was already dealing with bylaw this morning, on two separate things.

"They don't go away and neither does the [Royal Canadian Mounted Police], they may as well put the detachments in our neighbourhood."

Incredibly, Blake's $40 sign - which he, obviously, had specially made - had attracted two offers within three days of being put up.
