A drunk driver has had his licence cancelled and his car impounded after he sped past a Melbourne police station at almost 50km/h over the speed limit.
The Broadmeadows man recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.140 after police clocked him driving at 117km/h in a 70km/h zone along Sydney Road, Fawkner, about 1.20am on Saturday morning.
The man is expected to be charged on summons with exceeding the speed limit and drink-driving offences.
