Australian comedian Chris Lilley is stepping back in front of the camera for a new comedy series.

Lilley, the man behind Aussie comedy favourites We Can Be Heroes and Summer Heights Highis filming a 10-episode comedy series for streaming service Netflix.

The yet-to-be-titled series starts filming on the Gold Coast this March and will wrap in June.

Little is known about the project as of yet, only the fact that it will be filmed in Queensland.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said she was “delighted to have enticed” Lilley and the production crew to the Sunshine State.

“The series will employ up to 250 Queensland cast and extras, plus around 100 Queensland crew,” she says.

“The project will also support two local screen practitioners, who will have the opportunity to work on the series to further develop their professional skills.”
