In what must be the adult equivalent of blaming the dog for eating your homework, a woman caught with drugs in her handbag has informed police that it was actually the weather's fault.
Kennecia Posey was pulled over by cops who spotted her driving erratically in Fort Pierce, Florida and quickly noticed the strong smell of marijuana coming from the car.
When they began to search the 26-year-old's vehicle, they found two separate bags, one containing weed and one containing cocaine, in her handbag.
Posey confessed to owning the pot but denied all knowledge of the coke.
"I don't know anything about any cocaine," the police report quotes her as saying.
"It's a windy day. It must have flown through the window and into my purse."
Incredibly, police didn't believe her completely plausible story and arrested her on suspicion of cocaine possession and marijuana possession.
Posey has since been charged with one felony and one misdemeanour for the above and has been released on a bail bond.
