Drunk Tourist Accidentally Climbs Mountain Trying To Get Back To His Hotel

Some Estonian dude has had the drunken stumble home of a lifetime, accidentally climbing an entire mountain trying to get back to his hotel.

Seriously. An entire bloody mountain.

The man, known as 'Pavel' and aged in his 20s, was on holiday in the Italian ski region Cervinia, according to local media.

However, instead of following the road home, Pavel accidentally took a detour and went up the ski run.

All the way up.

Between 2 and 3 in the morning he reached a bar called Igloo, located a whopping 2400 metres in the air, where he wandered into the closed premises.

There he downed two bottles of water - because at least he was keeping an eye on his hangover - and passed out, being woken up by staff at 8:30.

Pavel was so lost that a search party, including members of the fire brigade, had gone out looking for him.

He will likely be fined for the commotion, but not charged.

"Everything went well from him," Igloo owner Alessandro Zavattaro told La Stampa.

"It's not that cold."
