There's not many worse feelings than waking up after a sesh having misplaced your drivers licence; and there's no better feeling when you receive your licence back in the mail via a good samaritan.

Well, one bloke over in the UK rode that rollercoaster of emotions recently, and was hilariously pranked by global travel agent giant Flight Centre in the process.

Having lost his licence a few days prior, William 'George' Armstrong took to Twitter after receiving a personalised letter in the mail from Flight Centre.

Inside the envelope was an itinerary of four First Class flights with Etihad airways, taking Armstrong from his hometown of London to the Maldives, via Abu Dhabi, and then back home.

The itinerary was accompanied with an invoice asking Armstrong for a payment of £5,289.87 ($9,045 AUD) in full by close of business Friday, 10 November.

Luckily for Armstrong, the third page inside the envelope had his licence attached to a note informing him that the travel agent was just taking the piss.

"We're just kidding. We've found your driving licence outside our shop thought you might need it! Just make sure you consider us for your next holiday. Take care!," the note read.

Turns out a bloke called 'Steve' was the man behind the prank.

That is sensational stuff from Steve and Flight Centre.
