Detectives Michael Hitchcock and Norm Scully are copping their own dedicated episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Show co-creator Dan Goor revealed the news at San Diego Comic-Con that Hitchcock and Scully, the show's pair of largely incompetent detectives, will get their own proper episode in season six.

Goor told people the episode would likely delved into their past.

"There’s a fun Hitchcock and Scully episode coming up. You might see them in their past at some point," he said.

"The writer’s room is up. We are five weeks into pre-production, we’ve got a bunch of scripts and stories."

Goor and executive producer Luke Del Tredici appeared at Comic-Con alongside most of the cast.

NBC recently made the decision to rescue Brooklyn Nine-Nine for a sixth season after Fox cancelled the five-year-old comedy.

Yesterday we heard the news Coke Zero was getting scrapped. So of course Mick Molloy wasn't happy on Kennedy Molloy yesterday!
