Russia is emulating the deepest of trance nightclubs in Berlin by allowing fans to bring drugs to World Cup matches.

International football matches are usually awash with beer as it is, but the Ruskies are absolutely kicking things up a notch when it's their turn to host the FIFA World Cup later this year.

Russia is the leader of the diplomatic bloc known as the Eurasian Economic Union.

And part of that group’s ethos is to grant travellers the right to bring in banned substances into Russia, providing that have medical documentation that they need the substance, for medical use, written in Russian.

Remarkably, the list of medical drugs on the list not only includes marijuana, but cocaine and heroin as well.

The organising committee of the Russian World Cup has stated that there'll be law enforcement officers on site at every match to check the legal status of your Persian Rugs.

This whole thing seems a bit suss, so if you're planning on taking some drugs to the World Cup, run that gauntlet at your own risk.
