Today is a legit stinker in Melbourne.

The mercury is tipped to get up to 42 degrees in the city, forcing the postponement of a W-League game between Melbourne City and Perth Glory at AAMI Park and changing the racing schedule.

Rural Victoria is copping it as well, with yesterday’s heat melting a section of the Hume Freeway near Broadford and conditions even worse today.

In fact, it’s so bloody hot that some Bunnings Warehouses have had to cancel their celebrated sausage sizzles.

Fear not snag lovers — a cool change will sweep through Victoria this evening, so hopefully Bunnings sausage sizzles can recommence tomorrow.
