Spare a thought for the poor folk in London today as they sweat through their hottest April day since 1949.
London is currently 29.1 degrees celsius, which if you've ever been to England, means the locals will be shirtless in the park - which happens whenever the temperature rises above a barmy 19 degrees.
In fact it is that hot in London right now that even local horse races had to be postponed, which was documented in this report by the BBC: “The heat caused the cancellation of a horse race at Cheltenham but those over shorter distances went ahead.”
The heatwave has even made it onto the front cover of most major newspapers across Britain...
Just for the record, London's temperature of 29 degrees is hotter than any capital city in Australia right now besides Darwin.
