Jetstar have just made it a hell of a lot easier to pay for your holiday flights.

The budget airline has introduced the highly popular Afterpay system, allowing customers to pay for flights in fortnightly increments, meaning you'll no longer have to fork up $400 upfront for your trip away.

However there are some guidelines behind the use of the new payment system.

Firstly, Afterpay is only available for domestic flights that cost between $200 and $1000.

The flights must also be booked at least eight weeks in advance and will have a $10 service fee charged.

“Our mission at Jetstar is to offer low fares to enable more people to fly to more places, more often," Jetstar Group CEO Jayne Hrdlicka said, "Partnering with Afterpay gives our customers the option to lock in low fares at today’s prices and pay over time, even during our sales.”

According to Newscorp, International flights could soon be added to the list of Afterpay options.
