You know what they say: Pick a job you love doing and you'll never work a day in your life.

Lego has advertised one of their coveted "Master Model Builder" roles which will basically see the successful applicant paid for playing with Lego all day, every day.

Since there are only 22 of these jobs in the world, it's a tough application process; more than 5,000 people have already submitted their resume and the top 50 will have to battle it out in a live, public audition later this month.

Yes, a live, public audition. Like Australian Idol but with tiny, plastic bricks.

There is one other catch, too. The job is based at the Legoland Discovery Centre in Birmingham, England which is set to become the "ultimate indoor Lego playground", so would require a move.

But you wouldn't be crazy for doing it; apparently Lego bosses have already seen applications from Australia, New Zealand and California which just proves that this is one of those jobs you'd move mountains for.

"The Master Model Builder role is such a privileged position to hold and the number of applications that we have received has come as no surprise," said Amy Langham, the Discovery Centre's general manager.

"Given this role hankers creativity and excitement, giving someone the opportunity to win the job from a series of live challenges couldn't be more fitting!"

Applications close Friday March 21 and you can have a little look-see at what the role would entail right here.
