Liverpool's Manager Sent A Selfie To A Player Before Signing Him To Prove He Was Legit
Not Catfishing
You hear constantly about the glamorous transfers of high profile soccer players like Neymar's move from Barcelona to PSG - but not all player moves are that fashionable.
It's been revealed that before Estonian defender Ragnar Klavan moved to Liverpool from German side Augsburg for £4.2million last season, the big man couldn't actually believe it.
In an interview with BT Sport, Klavan revealed when he heard of Liverpool's interest he thought it was a joke.
And when he received a personal text message from Liverpool's manager Jürgen Klopp, he still thought someone was pulling his leg, so he asked for confirmation that it was actually Klopp texting him.
Klavan promptly received confirmation in the form of a 'selfie' from the German manager.
Maybe Klopp should start dishing out more selfies to try and sign quality players to help Liverpool win the league for the first time since 1989/90.
