Nokia is bringing back the slider phone that was made famous in The Matrix.

The phone was originally launched in 1996 and became famous three years later via the right hand of Keanu Reeves in The Matrix.

19 years later? It's being relaunched by Nokia.

The Nokia 8110 slider phone is banana shaped and features all the essential apps such as Facebook, Twitter and Google Maps, plus the old numeric keypad, a camera and a colour screen.

Launched at Mobile World Congress, it's also got 4G and web browsing so it will do all the basics.

It's an eternity away from the iPhones and Androids of the world but it's still bloody cool.

HMD Global, who own Nokia, say it's a phone that gives you the "chance to switch off, have fun and relax in the knowledge that all your smartphone essentials are there when you need them".
