A 64-year-old bloke has been charged with creating a public nuisance after allegedly pooing on the footpath of a private apartment block during his morning run.

Residents of the apartment block in Greenslopes in Brisbane's south-east reckon their local "poo jogger" has done his business on their path about 30 times in the last year, claiming that the hereto-unidentified man has a regular little routine.

The man runs past the block three times a week before he allegedly, "like clockwork", takes a quick detour, nipping up a privately-owned path and copping a squat.

Fed-up with their resident defiler, the neighbours banded together to set-up a night-vision camera and, just one week later, hit the motherlode.

"One of the neighbours set-up a night camera and got a few images and so we had a time he was doing it, so then I decided to go and wait with a camera and I was there a few mornings and then last Friday I got him," news.com.au reports the photographer, neighbour Steve, as saying.

"There's a red light which goes on before the camera's flash goes off and he saw that and looked at me as the photograph was taken.

"Then he just said, 'Hello'. At that point I decided to just walk away."
