This interrogation must have been a stinker.

Police were forced to put an end to questioning Sean A Sykes Jr over in the United States after he "continued to be flatulent".

Sykes is facing federal gun and drug charges after being found in possession of drugs and stolen handguns.

While being questioned back in September, Sykes denied knowing anything about the guns and drugs, according to a report in the Kansas City Star.

The detective on the case wrote that the suspect almost went full Hector Salamanca on him when quizzed about his address.

"Mr. Sykes leaned to one side of his chair and released a loud fart before answering with the address," the detective wrote.

“Mr. Sykes continued to be flatulent and I ended the interview."

Charges were not filed at the time, until Sykes was pulled over on November 5 with marijuana, crack cocaine and a stolen .38 caliber revolver, and now remains in custody.

Fair to say he's in a smelly situation now.
