That bloke who appeared on ACA flaunting his nunchuck skills is in court today on weapons charges.
Earlier this year, self-proclaimed 'vigilante' James William Read appeared on an episode of A Current Affair that focused on an apparent increase in home burglaries in Melbourne's southeast due to 'police inaction'.
In the video James displayed his sick as nunchuck 'skills'.
Unfortunately for old mate, their an illegal weapon in Australia.
Even more unfortunately for old mate, Victoria Police saw the episode of ACA and the next day search his house, finding five sets of nunchucks, summoning him to court on weapons charges.
James claimed the weapons were "martial art training aids used by his son", but the judge was having none of it, placing him on a 12-month good behaviour bond.
