You may want to start rearranging your living room now because Samsung has unveiled a new television that's so enormous, they've called it "The Wall".

The South Korean tech juggernaut presented their mammoth new offering at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, talking the audience through the "breakthrough" 3.7-metre-wide TV.

"The Wall" is the first of Samsung's teles to feature MicroLEDs which are much smaller than current LEDs and can produce their own light.

That means that individual pixels can be turned on or off, which will help Samsung deliver the higher contrast and richer colours it's promising.

And, since it's a "module-based, bezel-less design", the size of your TV is fully customisable; you could - depending on your bank balance - build yourself a wall of "The Wall"s.

"At Samsung, we are dedicated to providing consumers with a wide range of cutting-edge screen experiences," Jonghee Han, Samsung Electronics' president of visual display business, said.

"As the world's first consumer modular MicroLED television, 'The Wall' represents another breakthrough.

"It can transform into any size, and delivers incredible brightness, colour gamut, colour volume and black levels.

"We're excited about this next step along our roadmap to the future of screen technology and the remarkable viewing experience it offers to consumers."

The only thing Samsung didn't seem keen to boast about was the price of "The Wall" or when it would be released - although that does give you more time to tell your other half that you're getting it.
