Two people have suffered minor injuries after the car they were in crashed into the second floor of a dentist's office in Los Angeles.

Police arrived at the scene to find a sedan stuck inside a building, suspended 4m from ground level, with two people stuck inside the vehicle.

It's reported the car hit a median strip at high speeds, sending it airborne and slamming into the dentist's office.

The driver reportedly admitted to local police of being under the influence of "narcotics" at the time, which isn't exactly surprising seeing as their car is literally hanging out the side of the building, suspended in the air...

The car remained embedded in the building for a several hours while a specialist crane was called in to free the trapped occupants.
