Millions of Americans stopped in their tracks to witness the amazing solar eclipse that plunged much of the country into darkness on Monday in the US.
Unfortunately, many weren't equipped for the phenomenon.
It was well-publicised in the lead up to the eclipse that looking directly at the sun while it is happening can lead to eye damage, partial loss of eyesight, or blindness.
Even President Donald Trump fell into the trap of having a cheeky glimpse without proper ear protection.
