Famously loose talk show The Jerry Springer Show has been cancelled after 27 years and over 4,000 episodes.

Yahoo News reports that NBC won’t make any new episodes, but the show will remain in syndication.

The door isn’t completely closed though, with producers reportedly saying “there is a possibility” that more episodes could be ordered.

The show was a staple of day time TV and never took itself too seriously, with episode titles like “Stop Pimpin’ My Twin Sister” and “Hooking Up With My Therapist”.

Springer once told the The Associated Press that anyone could do his job if they learnt just three phrases: "You did what?" ''Come on out!" and "We'll be right back”.
