It's cliched we know, but doesn't every Mum love a surprise breakfast in bed for Mother's Day?
Well, if you're inept in the kitchen but want to give it a good go this weekend, why not try what could arguably be the easiest recipe for bacon and eggs in the world?
1. Cook The Bacon
Put bacon in a cold oven. Once it gets to 180 degrees Celsius, turn the bacon over. Set the timer for 4 minutes exactly and once it beeps, you're done.
2. Poach The Eggs
Add 1/2 cup water to a microwave-safe teacup. Crack an egg into the water, making sure it’s completely submerged. Don't break the yolk so be careful. Cover your cup with a saucer and microwave on high for 1 minute. Gently remove the egg from the teacup with a slotted spoon.
(if Mum likes the egg a little more cooked, just leave it in the water for a little longer).
3. Cook The Toast
We won't even bother with this one.
4. Serve It Up
Toast with egg on top, bacon on the side... complete with some orange juice and a freshly brewed coffee or tea, and Mum will bloody love the effort.
(and, she need not know just how easy it was).
