16-year-old prodigy Joseph Saelee has stunned the Tetris world, beating 7-time world champion Jonas Neubauer in the Classic Tetris World Championship.

Competitors in the CTWC play what’s called Classic Tetris on the original Nintendo Entertainment System, with a list of strictly defined rules.

Saelee knocked off Neubauer 3-0 in the final, and the last moments of the third game showcase just how intense the matches can be.

Prior to Saelee’s masterclass, Neubauer had won all but one of the CTWC events that had been held.

Neaubauer — who is a taproom manager at a southern California bar and also helps run a recreational marijuana startup — had only lost the 2014 edition.

Saelee — who walked out with a cool $1000 dollars for his dominance — was actually inspired to take up Classic Tetris by Neubauer.

“I watch Jonas's Twitch channel every time I can,” Saelee told Vice.

“I would say most of my gameplay is based off Jonas's gameplay. I try to play exactly like him for the most part.”
