A tiny village has been dealing with a big problem thanks to the "love fumes" from a factory manufacturing Viagra nearby.

The plant, run by pharmaceutical giants Pfizer, started churning out the erectile dysfunction drug 20 years ago and locals reckon they've been feeling the benefits ever since.

"One whiff and you're stiff," Debbie O'Grady told the Sunday Times. "We've been getting the love fumes for years now for free."

Even Debbie's mother Sadie agreed; the widower said that living in the Irish village of Ringaskiddy, Cork, is a "blessing" for men with "problems in that department".

"[There's] something in the air," she added. "You just have to have a spark, that's all."

Apparently that spark isn't just affecting humans either, according to local nurse Fiona Toomey.

"[Dogs] walk around in a state of sexual excitement," she said. "I think that Viagra must have got into the water supply.

"I'm convinced that's what happened at the very beginning before they were so closely regulated."

Pfizer, however, have since released a statement reiterating that production is tightly controlled and that the residents' claims are an "amusing" myth.

"Our manufacturing processes have always been highly sophisticated as well as highly regulated," a spokesperson said.
