Brisbane's Most Scenic Bike Trail Revealed

Best Trail For Bike Week

Brisbane is home to some outstanding cycle trails.

An hour South-West of the city, Mount Joyce Recreation Park is one of Australia's best spots for a family weekend away in the saddle.

But you don't have to go all that way for a great cycling experience. We've found the best - and certainly the most scenic - cycle trail is practically on our doorstep.

Suitable for both roadies and mountain bikers, Mount Coot-tha Forest is so good for cycling that it has been chosen as the home for Bike Week 2017, taking place this Saturday 6 May - Sunday 14 May.

And it's easy to see why. With spectacular waterfalls, creeks, trees and glimpses of the city as you fly through the track, you get an amazing mix along the 31km of shared use paths and 12km of dedicated mountain bike trails that wind through the eucalypt forest. And all this less than 5km from the city centre.
