Gluten lifestyles, triple doppio long shot frozen chai lattes, Justin Bieber's entire back catalogue - in 2017 there's a lot to dislike, and now the things you hate might lead you to finding the love of your life.

'Hater' is a new dating app that catalogues the things that piss you off, and then matches you with someone else who hates the same stuff.

The app, which officially launches February 8, has an initial 2,000 topics listed and asks its users to swipe up if they love it, down if they hate it, right if they like it, and left if they dislike it.

The app then provides the user with a selection of people they may be attracted to by the shared hatred of the same things.

According to the CEO behind Hater, Brendan Alper, the idea behind the app was initially for it to be a joke.

"The more I thought about it, the more I thought, 'Hey even though this was a funny idea, it actually makes a lot of sense'," he told Cut.

If love makes you blind, maybe Hater will provide the clarity for all single people looking for love around Australia.
