The Central Coast Multicultural Interagency (CCMI) is holding its annual Multicultural Expo on Wednesday 24thth November at the Erina Centre, Erina Fair.

This popular, free event promotes local services and provides essential information to our multicultural communities on the coast. This year’s theme is “Be Safe” and will raise awareness of the need to be safe in the home and in the community.

“For many multicultural community members concepts of Australian bushfire safety or beach safety or even cyber safety are unknown to them,” said Nellie Srisurapon from Northern Settlement Services.

“Having the opportunity to see safety related demonstrations and participate in practical workshops at this year’s Expo will ensure that the community are receiving correct information that will benefit themselves, their family and friends”.

Participants will also be able to get assistance and information on services available on the Central Coast from both government and non government organisations. This includes 1st response services, Legal, Health, Disability, Aged, Education and Employment, Housing and Family support services. Interpreters will be available on site at the event as well as a Community Health nurse to provide FREE health checks.

For more information on the Multicultural Expo, contact Northern Settlement Services, Central Coast office on 4334 3877.
