It's the annual event that locals and visitors to Ingham wait for each year, and it's concludes this weekend.

In the final weekend of the 2018 Maraka festivities, Saturday morning will see the ever popular Pet Parade & Fence Painting competition at Ingham Showgrounds.

There will be free face-painting, prizes & giveaways for the whole family from 9am.

Later in the afternoon all the hard work of locals putting together floats in the theme of Going For Gold will take over the streets of Ingham from 5pm.

The Maraka Procession does a lap around Herbert Street twice, so you can get a great look at their effort!

Schools, businesses, and community groups will participate in the annual event which will be followed by the Mardis Gras in heart of Ingham, Rotary Park.

This is where you can enjoy authentic Italian food, desserts, and a line up of entertainment including the crowning of the Maraka Princess and Queen.
