The Burdekin Water Festival Celebrates It's 60th Birthday

We look forward to it every year, and this year's celebrations were the biggest yet! 

Over the weekend the Burdekin Water Festival blew out 60 candles and we were there to join the celebrations. 

From the street parade through to iconic Burdekin market stalls, there was so much for all ages to enjoy! 

The night begun with locals lining up their floats for the Rotary Club of Ayr Grand Parade (which boasted $3,000 in cash prizes for the best floats!)

From everyone at 102.3 we'd like to congratulate the hard working teams that have that got the event to this huge milestone.
