Bala, Scarlet, and Lava are ready to start their lives with you

The Townsville RSPCA Shelter is full to the brim with animals who would be ever grateful for loving homes in time for Christmas.

The shelter have put on a variety of specials lately, to make that dream a reality for the furbabies.

You can follow their Facebook page for the details, or give the shelter a call (07)4774 5130.

Some of the darlings ready for loving homes, include our Pets of the Week!

Bala: Hi I'm Bala!  I'm looking a very special family to join.  I have a hearing impairment but that doesn't bother me.  I'm a very confident and social girl and have picked up commands like sit by watching hand signals.  I'll need to go to an experienced that is willing to continue my training.  I'm great with kids and have made a lot of doggy friend since being at the RSPCA.

INTRODUCING LAVA! This sassy older gal is sure to keep you entertained with her antics and quirky personality. She loves going for walks, and will do just about anything for a treat. Lava is great on the lead, very well behaved, and apart from a short walk won't need much exercise. Lava isn't a giant fan other dogs in her bubble. After all, she is an old lady and needs her space! But she's happy to share all of her kisses and cuddles with her human friends. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind pooch to join your family, come and ask for Lava today!

Lava: "She's a lover not a fighter" - Foster carer

"She'll have you erupting in laughter!" - RSPCA staff

"Her personality is volcanic" - Neighbouring dog

Scarlett: Hi my name is Scarlet,

I am a sweet girl who loves pats and attention. I do have a very beautiful nature but as I am not the most tolerant cat a mature family would be best. I love to laze around the house and soak up the simple life. I would be the perfect tv buddy to just chill on the couch and hang out with. If you are looking for a sassy lady with a heart of gold and lots of purrs to give than I might just be the one for you!!

If you'd like to meet these animals or others, visit the RSPCA shelter 7 days a week from 10am-5pm.
