Two Great Southern teams have entered the FFA Cup in 2018

The Albany Rovers Football Club and Albany Bayswater City Soccer Club are set to compete in the national knock out competition the FFA Cup.

The FFA Cup is a national knockout tournament run by Football Federation Australia in conjunction with every State and Territory Member Federation in the country. The competition commences with the Preliminary Rounds before moving into the Final Rounds (from the Round of 32 onwards), the stage when the 10 Hyundai A-League clubs join the fray.

Each and every cup tie must be decided on the day, with extra time and penalties to decide results of matches drawn after 90 minutes.

The FFA Cup gives clubs and teams at a range of levels in Australian football the opportunity to dream about winning a major national title, and exposes players and coaches to a variety of new opponents to develop their game.

The Great Southern Soccer Association looks forward to supporting our teams in the FFA Cup on the 17th March. Curtain raiser matches from midday with the main game between Albany Rovers and Yanchep United FC at 4pm.
