Grab something orange from your wardrobe and get along to the 'Greater Bendigo Against Family Violence' Community Showcase to support an important cause.

The event will feature guest speakers who will reflect on some of the great work already in place within the family violence prevention area, and talk about how you can help moving forward.

Victoria Police member and Chair of the Greater Bendigo Against Family Violence Committee Sgt Margaret Singe stated that the event will help raise awareness about the issue and an understanding that "no community is immune to the impacts of family violence and each one of us needs to take responsibility in preventing family violence by challenging and changing attitudes and behaviours within our community".

The event will also mark the launch of the 'Bendigo Walks Against Family Violence' community walk, which will commence at 12:30pm. The walk will be followed by a lunch, and the opportunity to network and find out more information about the issue.

The Community Showcase will be held at Library Gardens, Hargreaves St from 12pm on Wednesday, November 28th.
