Fishing for fun

There is a free events this sunday at the Kennington Reservoir to get more children fishing, more often!

It's going to be fun and free, and everything is provided so youngsters can cast a line and try fishing in a safe and supportive environment.

No pre-booking required - registrations will be taken on the day.

🎣WHAT’S ON 🎣

🐟 Vic Fish Kids Ambassador Rex Hunt will be on hand with expert tips
🐟 200 rod and reel outfits given away throughout the day
🐟 Two fishing clinics (10am and midday)
🐟 Free fishing tuition from Fishcare Victoria and angling club volunteers
🐟 Learn how to cast, tie knots and what to do with a fish when you catch one
🐟 Free photo booth to immortalise that fish of a lifetime
🐟 All fishing gear and bait provided

All waters will be stocked prior with catchable size rainbow trout from our Snobs Creek hatchery, and some fish will be released on the day too!

When: Sunday the 7th October 

Time: 10AM til 2PM 

Cost: Free 

Please note: Parental supervision is essential and participants should bring sturdy footwear, clothing to suit the weather, a hat and sunscreen.
