WOMEN'S CRICKET STARTS SUNDAY IN BENDIGO!

 

Lisa Chester’s MP to ‘Toss the Coin’ in the inaugural Women's Cricket Competition that commences on Sunday 11th November 2018 at the Quarry Hill (Ken Wust) Oval at 11.45am.

Female members of West Bendigo Cricket Club (WBCC) currently play in mixed teams in lower grades of the club however they have enthusiastically welcomed the opportunity to play in a female league resulting in WBCC submitting a team in the inaugural Women's Competition which is being hosted by the Goulburn Murray Cricket league providing an opportunity for the expressed needs of females to play cricket in a league or their own. This new league is catering for females residing in the North Central region of Victoria.


The WBCC has received resounding support and encouragement from both the Emu Valley Cricket League and Cricket Victoria to participate in this league. Lisa Chester MP has willingly agreed to be the women’s team ‘Patron’. WBCC’s objective is to increase opportunities for females across age, disability, skill level, fitness level, lifestyle and cultural background.
