Celebrate the life of Australian bush poet, Banjo Paterson at the Banjo Paterson Australian Poetry Festival from Friday, February 16 to Sunday, February 25 in the district he was born. 

You can look forward to bush poetry, school performances, professional entertainers, markets, golf, barbecues and camp oven cooking - these are just some of the attractions over the course of the festival!

There will be something for every age group, including aboriginal performances and cultural tours, local history and food and wine of the Orange region.

Some event highlights include:

BANJO PATERSON FESTIVAL NIGHT MARKET - FEBRUARY 16

Be spoilt for choice with over 30 food and wine stallholders! The whole family can enjoy an outdoor playground in Robertson Park and you can kick back to music from local musicians and poetry in the park!

Location: Robertson Park, Orange
Time: 5.30pm – 8.30pm
Cost: Gold coin entry

BREAKFAST WITH BANJO - FEBRUARY 17 (BANJO'S BIRTHDAY)

Join in for breakfast with Banjo on his birthday right near where he was born! You'll experience a little bit of history, poetry, music an a cooked breakfast under the shade of an old oak tree.

Location: Banjo Paterson Park, Ophir Road, Orange
Time: 7.30am – 9.30am
Cost: $5 entry fee

ROTARY BREKKY AND POETRY IN THE PARK - FEBRUARY 16, 22-24

BBQ breakfast and entertainment from local schools and visiting poets. Drop by on your way to work, after your morning exercise or to meet your friends.

Time: 7.30am – 9am
Cost: $5 entry fee

FAMILY DAY MARKET AT EMMAVILLE COTTAGE - FEBRUARY 25

Visit the Emmaville Cottage and soak up all of the history! You can also enjoy The Rotary Club of Orange's craft and produce market, kids' activities, local entertainment & open mic for poetry recitals. 

Location: Orange Botanic Gardens Precinct 
Time: 9am – 2pm
Cost: Gold coin entry
