Suicide takes 3,000 Australian lives each year and is now the biggest killer of Australians aged 15 to 44 years old. And the large majority of those are men.

From 3pm Friday 25th May, Orange residents will be walking for this insidious disease nonstop for 24 hours.

For the second year running, Anytime Fitness is partnering with Suicide Prevention Australia to hold a national 24 hour treadmill challenge to support suicide prevention.

The Tread Together event will take place across hundreds of Anytime Fitness clubs throughout Australia, including Orange.

Anytime Fitness Orange is asking club members and the local community to come together in support of Suicide Prevention Australia (SPA), with the aim of raising $500,000 for the cause.

All proceeds go to Suicide Prevention Australia.

So how does it work?

They'll be two treadmills running continuously for a 24hr period. Once you hop on the treadmill you must stay on for a minimum of 15 minutes or a maximum of 24 hours!

$15 for 15 minutes ($1per minute)
