Next Wednesday is Anzac Day and at the theatre they have a whole host of events to help commemorate 100 years since the end of World War I.

Poppy Planting - Friday April 20th
We will be once again decorating the Tivoli Garden with poppies from the 10,000 poppies project. We are seeking volunteers to help us from 1pm-2:30pm to plant poppies in the garden and tie them to the fence.

Anzac Day Gunfire Breakfast - Wednesday April 25th
Immediately after the dawn service the Tivoli Room will be open for a gunfire breakfast. This community event is free and features an amazing hot cooked breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, and plenty of tea and coffee.

Anzac Day Morning Service - Wednesday April 25th
After the morning parade at 11am the theatre will be open for a special commemorative service and wreath laying. This event is open to the entire community and is a wonderful way to commemorate the sacrifices made by those who fought in conflicts across the world.

The Lighthouse Girl - Friday April 27th 7:30pm
This stirring story of a young girl transcribing Morse code messages from soldiers stationed offshore, becoming their last hope of getting messages to their loved ones before heading to the front line. Tickets $15conc/$20adults

A Town Named War Boy - Monday May 7th 7:30pm and Tuesday May 8th 11am
Based on the State Library’s jaw-dropping collection of First World War diaries, photographs and letters, A Town Named War Boy brings to life the personal accounts of the young men who set sail for the far side of the world. Tickets $15
