ACLAND:

Service at 10AM in Tom Doherty Park. Bring a plate for morning tea.

 

CLIFTON:

  • Dawn service at the town cenotaph commencing 5.25am, followed by a gunfire breakfast at the Senior Citizens Hall, Meara Place, Clifton.
  • March starts at 10.45am at the Clifton swimming pool (King Street, Clifton). BBQ/sausage sizzle will follow at the Senior Citizens Hall, Meara Place, Clifton at approximately 12pm.
  • Persons, clubs or organisations wishing to lay wreaths during the ceremony should contact Anne Glasheen on 0408 718 720.

Road Closures:

  • King and Edward Streets, 10am until finish.

 

COOYAR:

9.45am - March from Cooyar Public Hall.

10am  - Service at Cooyar War Memorial followed by community morning tea at Cooyar Hotel.

 

CROWS NEST:

Dawn service commences at 5.30 am followed by the mid morning service at 10 am. Both services will be at Centenary Park, Crows Nest.

  • Road closures - William Street and Charlotte Street will be closed from 9am to 11am.

 

GOOMBUNGEE:

Dawn service 5.30 am, followed by gunfire breakfast and citizens service at 10.20 am at the war memorial (Mocatta Street),

 

GOWRIE JUNCTION:

Service at 5.45am at the Gowrie Junction State School cenotaph, followed by a community breakfast at Gowrie Junction Community Hall.

 

GREENMOUNT:

March starts at 9.45am from the Bicentennial Park with the service concluding 10.45am.

  • Road closure: Ramsay Street 8 am until finish.

 

HIGHFIELDS:

Dawn service commences at 5.15am, mid morning service commences at 10 am. Both services will be at Sean McCarthy Way, Highfields.

  • Road closures - O'Brien Road, Sean McCarthy Way and the end of Ladner Drive will be closed from 9.30am to 11am.

 

JONDARYAN:

  • Service at 8am at the Jondaryan War Memorial, Duke St with morning tea afterwards at Jondaryan Hall.
  • Anzac Day at the Woolshed.

 

KINGSTHORPE:

  • School service will be held on April 24 at Kingsthorpe State School from 9 - 10am (open to the public).
  • Anzac Day service (April 25) at 2 pm at War Memorial Hall followed by a community afternoon tea.

 

MILLEMERRAN:

Dawn Service Anzac Memorial Park commencing at 5.30am followed by refreshments in the Anzac Room at the Cultural Centre.

10.00am March to commence from Millmerran Meats (Campbell Street) to the Cultural Centre & stopping at the Cenotaph for the Wreath laying & the Salute taken.

 

OAKEY:

5.25am - Dawn service at the Oakey War Memorial (Cnr Campbell & McDonald Streets) with a gunfire breakfast at Oakey RSL afterwards.

9.40am - March starts from Oakey Railway Station.

10am - Citizen service.

 

PITTSWORTH:

4.28 am - Dawn service conducted by R.S.L.A. for ex-servicemen personnel and general public.

8 am - WW1 memorial ceremony for ex-servicemen personnel and general public at Pittsworth Pioneer Village.

9 am - Laying of poppies for ex-servicemen personnel and general public at Pittsworth Cemetery.

10.30 am - Parade of ex-service personnel and general public departs corner of Murray & Yandilla Streets.

11 am - Civic ceremony Pittsworth Town Hall.

1 pm - Legacy golf programme at Pittsworth Golf Club.

 

TOOWOOMBA:

Dawn service of remembrance –  assemble at Mothers’ Memorial from 5am (parade participants assemble at the Neil Street bus interchange from 4.30am).

Citizens wreath laying ceremony - from 9am.

Citizens commemoration service - from 10am.

Transport options for disabled or infirm ex-service men or women (with carer if required)

Free transport has been arranged for any disabled or infirm ex-service men or women and carers who would like to attend the Anzac Day Service at Mother's Memorial, either by taxi or jeep from their home to the service and return. The transport can be used to participate in the march or can be used to deliver the participant to the reserved seating area at the Mothers’ Memorial. Bookings must be made before Monday 23 April at the latest so that taxi booking and jeep seat/reserved seating can be secured. Contact Bill Hills on 46361088 at any time.
