TRIPLE M MAYORAL CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT:

The Annual Triple M Mayoral Carols by Candlelight will happen in Lower Queens Park, this Sunday 10th December in from 4pm in 2017.

 

WHEN:  SUNDAY DECEMBER 10TH

WHERE: LOWER QUEEN’S PARK

TIME: FROM 4PM

 

For more than a decade thousands have been pouring into Toowoomba's iconic Queen's Park for the annual Carols by Candlelight event.

This free family event kicks off with preshow entertainment from 5:30pm, Carols from 6:30pm and concludes with fireworks at 8pm. Christmas markets, food and rides kick off at 4pm.

 

SANTA FAIR:

The day all kicks off with the Oakey Lions Christmas Markets at the Oakey Railway Station.

 

WHEN:  SATURDAY DECEMBER 9TH

WHERE: OAKEY SOCCER CLUB, YORK STREET, OAKEY

TIME: 3:30PM – 9PM

 

There will be a Street Parade of floats and groups that represent local business, industry and community all walking in the parade.

This is all followed by the family carnival being held at the Oakey Soccer Grounds where the everyone can enjoy a concert, community carols and the night ends with a bang with a fireworks display.

Program for the Day:

 

  • 8 am to 1 pm  - Oakey Lions Markets – Oakey Railway Carpark
  • 2:00 pm - Official opening of ‘4401 Info’ Visitor information Centre  - Oakey Railway Station
  • 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm – Oakey Together Street Parade.
  • 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm - Oakey Santa Fair - Oakey Soccer Fields.

Jumping Castles, Water Slides, Stalls, Rides, Entertainment, Competitions.

FESTIVE TWILIGHT MARKETS: 

 

The Twilight Markets will be happening in “Frogs Hollow” Lower Queen Park this Saturday.

 

WHEN:  SATURDAY DECEMBER 9TH

WHERE: LOWER QUEEN’S PARK, MARGARET & HUME STREETS, TOOWOOMBA

TIME: 4PM – 9PM

Entry is free so be sure to check them out and pick up that special Christmas gift you’ve been searching for.

 

CAROLS AT PEACHAVEN:

Please bring along a present or some non-perishables as a donation to those in need. These items will be distributed to Drought Angels.

 

WHEN:  SATURDAY DECEMBER 9TH

WHERE: PEACEHAVEN PARK, HIGHFIELDS

TIME: 6PM – 8PM

 

Food and drinks are available on the night but please bring a chair or blanket and enjoy an evening under the stars.

Carols commence at 6:00pm and finish with a bang at 8:00pm with Fireworks.

 

PETS GET A VISIT FROM SANTA:

Even your pets can get a visit from Santa this year.  Check out this great morning the whole family can enjoy! Meet Santa and have a photo taken with pets, kids and the family. 

 

WHEN:  SUNDAY DECEMBER 10TH

WHERE: ECLIPSE PARK VETERINARY SURGERY, 19 ECLIPSE COURT, HIGHFIELDS

TIME: 9AM – 12PM

 

Your photo will cost just $10, they will be sent direct to your home.  Funds raised will go to the Toowoomba RSPCA - an early Christmas present for them!

There will be discounted dog baths, face-painting for the kids, a sausage sizzle, a pet artist, fantastic raffle, treats and more fun activities for the kids! 

Please bring your dogs on a lead or cats in a carry cage.

SOUL FOOD:

Soul Food is a monthly event providing an opportunity to unite in a tranquil environment and reflect on inspiring themes and common threads that tie us all together.

 

WHEN:  SUNDAY DECEMBER 10TH

WHERE: TOOWOOMBA CITY LIBRARY, CNR HERRIES AND VICTORIA STREETS – 155 HERRIES STREET

TIME: 9:30AM – 11AM


It features music, audio-visual pieces and readings from various Faiths; indigenous, ancient and modern, from all over the world.

Soul Food's purpose is to inspire us to transform our lives, our neighbourhoods and communities, with actions that promote the unity and betterment of society. 

Soul Food is a free community event open to all.

PITTSWORTH CHRISTMAS AT THE VILLAGE:

Welcome in the Festive Season…

Entertainment - Rotary Sausage Sizzle, Cash Prizes for Best Decorated Christmas Box, Help decorate the Christmas Tree, "Read with Me" Christmas Story, Cleo the Clown - Face Painting and Balloons.

Gift Boxes are to have 1 metre of string or tinsel to hang from gum tree at the Pioneer Village on the night,

Please bring your decorated box to the village by 4.30p.m. on Sunday 10th December.

Under 6 years - $15 prize money, Years 6-9  $30 prize money  Years 10-12  $35 Prize money.

 

 

KINGSTHORPE COMMUNITY CAROLS:

Kingsthorpe Community Carols is an outdoor Christmas Carols event hosted by Kingsthorpe Church of Christ for all the community to come and enjoy

 

WHEN:  SUNDAY DECEMBER 10TH

WHERE: KINGSTHORPE CHURCH OF CHRIST, NORTH STREET, KINGSTHORPE

TIME: 5:30PM – 8PM

Food & Drinks (including burgers, sausage sizzle, soft drinks, tea & coffee) and Glowsticks are available for purchase from 5:30 pm, with the Carols kicking-off at 6:30 pm. 

Bring along a chair or blanket to kick-back on the lawn and enjoy this Community Christmas event.
